CONSTITUTION DAY OF INDIA

29-11-2022

Constitution Day is celebrated in India on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution. Indian School Sohar observed National Constitution Day on 27th November 2022 to spread awareness about the importance of the Constitution as well as its architect Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the role that he played in drafting it.

A special assembly was organized in the school which included thought for the day and a speech by the students.  The relevance of the day was brought forth by means of a video which included Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address, enlightening the students about how the Constitution is evolving with the times. The youth- centric spirit of our Constitution was highlighted and the students were urged to participate wholeheartedly in the country’s progress. A quiz was also conducted to involve the students and enhance their knowledge.

Students read out the Preamble to the Constitution in their classes with great enthusiasm, reaffirming the belief that India stands collectively as a democratic, republic, socialist and secular country. The program helped the students to know about the constitutional values and encouraged them to perform their fundamental duties as a responsible citizen of India.
