52nd OMAN NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION - 2022

Indian School Sohar celebrated the 52nd Oman National Day with great enthusiasm and fervor to pay reverence to its second home, Oman. The whole campus wore a festive look. The campus, corridors and recreation hall were beautifully decorated with colours of the Oman National Flag.  

The special morning assembly began with the prayer song followed by the Thought for the Day, which was a wise quote of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq. The news was presented in Arabic and English which gripped the audience. An Official video of Oman Vision 2040 was presented which depicted the future goals of Oman for developing the country. Mr. Ameer Al Balushi staged a melodious musical performance by singing a Hindi song praising Oman and its wonderful people. His performance left the audience mesmerized. The school choir, in the colourful Omani traditional dress portrayed the spirit of solidarity and unity, enticing the audience by singing a song praising Oman.

The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma addressed the gathering and extended her best wishes to the visionary leader His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq. She thanked Oman and its people for their warmth, hospitality, support and bonds of friendship.

Certificates and trophies were presented to the winners of ISTF- 2022 and to the teacher in-charge and winners of Interschool Badminton Tournament.

The vote of thanks, both in English as well as Arabic was proposed by Ms. Ashline Rebekah of Class VIII. The special assembly concluded with the Royal Anthem of Oman followed by the National Anthem of India. The audience enjoyed the day while getting acquainted with the culture and heritage of Oman and their hearts filled with love and respect towards the country and its leaders.
