Indian School Sohar hosted the CBSE Oman Cluster Kho Kho Tournament 2014 on 10th and 11th October respectively for Boys and Girls. Teams from seven Indian Schools in Oman participated in the Tournament. The participant Schools were Indian School Ibri, Indian School Jalan, Indian School Muladha, Indian School Nizwa, Indian School Salalah, Indian School Sur and Indian School Sohar. The tournament was inaugurated by the Vice Principal, Dr. Vinukumar, Indian School Sohar. Mr Rajendra Singh Pratyarch, HOD, Physical Education Department, Indian School Muscat was present as the CBSE Observer of Oman Chapter.
In the Boys’ category Indian School Salalah secured the winner trophy and Indian School Muladha turned out to be the runner up. In the Girls category Indian School Salalah emerged winner where as Indian School Sohar was the runner up. They were awarded certificates, medals and trophies during the Closing Ceremony held on 10th and 11th October by the Chief Guest Dr. Mahesh Mistry, the School Management Committee Member and Chairman of Sports & Co-Curricular Activities Subcommittee, Indian School Sohar, the Vice-Principals of Indian School Sohar, Dr. Vinukumar and Mrs. Starlet Vincent respectively.
Mrs. Sanchita Verma, Principal Indian School Sohar, congratulated the winners and encouraged the other participants to bounce back with perseverance in the coming years. Dr. Vinu Kumar thanked all who made the tournament a grand success. All the teams put forth superb performance with determination and competence. The tournament witnessed a play of tactics, tremendous team work, utmost dedication and wonderful sportsman spirit.
